This page will hold information about the specifics of our products, as well as general technical documentation about components used in our products.
We’ve uploaded the user manual for the PlaySoniq, with detailed information of our new multi expander for MSX, the Playsoniq. Grab it here:
Our first version of the instruction manual of Franky is available. Inside your will find general information, how to convert Sega programs and detailed information how to access the VDP and Audio modes of the Sega A/V processor (these are based on documents of Charles MacDonald and Maxim Zhao but have been adjusted for use with Franky).
The following code is currently used to port Sega homebrew programs to Franky. Please note that the example programs converted 17 out of 23 tested programs correctly, so this needs to be optimized further. Hands on adjustment might still be needed. Also note that the successor of Franky, the PlaySoniq, does not need converter programs.
If you want to study more of the Sega Master System, we would like to recommend reading the documentation on SMS Power. Check it out at http://www.smspower.org/dev/docs/index.shtml
