FRANKY DOCUMENTATION
Our first version of the instruction manual of Franky is available. Inside your will find general information, how to convert Sega programs and detailed information how to access the VDP and Audio modes of the Sega A/V processor (these are based on documents of Charles MacDonald and Maxim Zhao but have been adjusted for use with Franky).
Do-IT-Yourself manual for building the Franky pcb
The following code is currently used to port Sega homebrew programs to Franky. Please note that the example programs converted 17 out of 23 tested programs correctly, so this needs to be optimized further. Hands on adjustment might still be needed. Also note that the successor of Franky, the PlaySoniq, does not need converter programs.
